hey crew i need help. took my car out lastnite to get sinus meds, cam home no problems. wake up got to start it around 1 to go to familys for football, turn it over and click click click. so get a battery charger and pop it on, car starts right up, let in run about ten min turn it off, try to start it right back up click click click. so i pop charger back on and i take my car and bring charger with me, and gf follows. all the accessories work and stuff. although my SRS light pops on randomly just started, wondering if it has anything to do with it. besides it being just replacing the battery, is there any other possibilites here. also wen i got home the car was kinda idle surging wen it was parked, but never died out just a steady room room room, which it wasnt doing earlier. any help is appreciated thanks guys and gals

sounds like a dead battery. prolly shit the bed from the cold weather obviously not the alternator cuz it runs fine after jumped. As for the SRS light I would guess maybe it reset the battery when you used the jumper pack? im not too sure. if not could be your srs computer?

no not the alternator if it runs fine after being jumped. but pull the positive terminal off after it's running and see if it stays running or not.

it ran fine both times earlier, the idle thing happened wen i just got home, but it was steady, didnt die out at all, and no power loss on drive home at all

Did you replace the battery? When I had a bad battery that wouldn't hold it's charge when i connected my positive terminal it idle shitty. When I took the terminal off and ran just on alternator it idle'd better. Id replace the battery n go from there.

u dont do that period,if the alternator spikes the battery is there to absorb the extra voltage. if u disconnect the battery while running u run the risk of frying shit. use a volt meter when checking for alternator voltage
