  • head gasket ?

im just wondering what it would cost if it had to be fixed....something i always wanted to no

get the prices for the head gasket (spend the extra money on a good one) and get some anti freeze. if you do it yourself theres no abor cost. i would say about 80$ to do it yourself if you dont put head studs in. if you do about 170$ if you have a shop do it it will be several hundred.

it really depends on the car and where you take it, I know High Output would probably charge you around 250 if it's a b series motor, but you go to a regular shop, you are looking at minimum $350 to do it.

yea i was just asking cuz i see some oil on the motor near the head gasket and was thinking maybe i should change it.....if i eventually do replace it would it be a good idea to use like a head gasket made for turbos so its way stronger...i dont have a turbo but the stronger the better no?

factory is always best. make sure it is not leaking from another area.
