i have a automatic 90 acura integra. shifts fine and drives but the damn thing doesnt go in reverse sometimes. and when u put it in it just makes a winding noise and revs up and sounds like there something in the transmision. but then u take it out and try again and it go in reverse no problem no noise. but its getting worse and to the point were it barely ever wants to go into reverse at all. does anyone know how to mess with automatic transmisions please help its ma girls daily and shes prego we need this car to go to and from doc apoinments im located in new britain i have a garage we can work on it in

Do not put syncromesh in there !!!!! That will waste it pull the solnoid off the trans and.clean the screens out also the shifter cable might be out of adjustment or stretched . Also change and check the fluid if you change the fluid only use Honda fluid the cheap brand will only hurt.it more .RIP Nick

that switch on the outside isnt for reverse dont waste your time. There is never a electrical switch or solinod for reverse. Its internal it u can not fix it with fluid or a simple fix. The frictions are most likely fried and thats that jeff.My transmission's went 9's
