3.unhook all vacuum hoses/coolant hoses/connectors to the head
4.pull the manifolds off along with dizzy
5.take the valve cover off/slip timing belt off gears after loosening tensioner
6.loosen the headbolts in order
7.lift the head off
8. clean the head and block surfaces.
9.put new gasket on.
10. put the head back on
11.torque the headbolts to spec
12.put everything else back together
TIMING- there are marks on the cam gears that say up and there should be a notch on each side of each cam gear.make sure they align with the head(the inners should be pointing right at eachother),crank pulley has 4 marks..3 of which are close together.one of which is an inch or 2 away from the 3...line the middle mark of the 3 up with the pointer on the timing cover.put all the tension on the exhaust side first then put the belt over the intake side.there should be slack on the intake side, and tight on the exhaust, rotate the crank so the cams rotate 3 teeth then tighten the tensioner.rotate it back to TDC and check to see all marks are still aligned.!!!!!ThE GoOd DiE YoUnG!!!!!
