          Bump...u can take the pistons out through the bottom but how u gonna put em back lol

            Leave the crank in the block take the head off pull the pistons thru the top and do ur rings and since u got the head off u can do ur valve seals easier g/l bro.

                      i got a full shop where i work. with a lot of tools. how much if u came up and helped me ? I have been a full time mechanic for the past 6 years. i can do a lot of stuff but i have never tore down a motor by myself.

                            Yeah theres a fitting that screws into the spark plug spots and it puts a certain psi to the chamber so u can do the valve seals while its still all together. And for the rings take the head off drop the pan, dont need the crank out unless you doing more work, like they said. Pull them out the top and drop em in from up top. Quick easy way no negative effects.
