b18c not popping VTEC

i noticed today while i was having a lil fun with my car that it only pops vtec in 1st and 2nd gear and sometimes 3rd......does anyone know what this can be?

Low oil?

checked that oil was fine if anything it was a bit over, im thinkin its a dirty solenoid but im not too sure

this is caused by not having i-vtec step ur game up to a k and k pro and ull be all set :)

u dont need a K to go fast, it wouldnt be a bad idea and it would deff be a good upgrade but dont hav the funds for that rite now, im satisfied with my motor setup anywaiiz

i honestly think my solenoid is going bad or needs to be cleaned, or something is up with my distributor......or something simple like an oil change

jus do a full tune up (not a rican tune up) a full automotive recomended tune up and u shud feel a difference

lol all i did was spark plugs....was thinkin of goin with the MSD dizzy cap, rotor, wires, and external coil blaster

msd is pointless and a waste of money stock distributor is good till like 500hp

no i know im just saying stock honda cap rotor everything is good till like 500hp and ive heard of issues with the msd setup

You have a pressure problem!!!!!

1st and 2nd dont put alot load so you will get vtec but in 3rd and higher gears you will not..

First thing you should do is check your vtec pressure switch and vtec solenoid..

But I strongly believe there is loose contract in the wires so check that!
