B18a1 in 93 DA need help!!!!

:mad:i got a 93 integra da 106*** on it jus started driving it and theres a loud ticking noise when the car is in park its real loud and fast and it also does it when i first start it up but when u put it in drive it low but u can still here it dude that sold me the car said it could be a lifter.. this is my dd i go from waterbury to southington mon-fri for work i need some help bad .... im not sure if its a lifter or a rod CAN SOME ONE PLZ HELP ME...!

take a screw driver stick the handle to ur ear nd put the tip on the valve cover nd listen were each valve is or about nd try to hear it .. then do the same w/ oil pan .

but yea i alwayz thought that too ticking was valves and knocking would be a rod.... i tried some shit called valve medic suppose to quiet nosiey lifters and clean up ur valves but that didnt work either.... u should hear this thing it sounds crazy when in park and netrual

take off the valve cover and redo your lash

ya x2 to that i would say try a valve adjustment and see how it runs after that if not you may have a rod issue hard to say with out hearing it ya kno g/l man hope you figure it out

yes. do a valve lash like they said above, also do a oil change and see if you have metal shavings coming out with your oil.

Honda's dont have lifter's.

Valve clearance could be your issue, but I'm willing to bet you got the Infamous B18A/B B20B/Z Rod Knock.
