couple questions about y8 head

bumped into an old buddy of mine whos gotta y8 head he wants to sell. i was just curious if anybody knew of anything i should look for. i took a look at it n to me everything seemed ok. just needs a im and valve cover. vtec solenoid was in tact as well as the internals. what else aside from the ex wiring would i need for install? also i noticed the valves looked a lil crumy. intake, i assume, were white, exhaust were black. i figure bc ill be building the head and a block that wont matter much. any pointers? ideas?

spin the cam make sure all the valve open and close all the way and non are bent thats about all. you dont really need a EX harness you can run 2 new wires for vtec if you had to very easy swap.
