i think its a wiring issue that he has cause he used a dx harness and ino he said he ran some wires but it cant be wired up right it woulda been nice if you had a ex harness to begin because then you would square out the fact that it wasnt a wiring issue but it can be a fcked up ecu for sure

try wiring it to a switch. If that works then you know it's in your wiring/ecu. Just to make sure your solenoid n shit works. Also make sure your reading the pins left to right and not right to left as if you were looking at the back of the plug where the wires come out. As far as you having a bad ground, just take it and put it right to the end of the cam cap bolt or one of the solenoid bolts.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1

Do you have a multimeter/ohm meter? If you do check your oil pressure sensor and temp sensor. Also try pulling your vtec solinoid off cleaning out the filter between it and the head.
I just read that jdm solinoids polarity are reversed. If yours is jdm then swap the wiring.My work: Flikr.
