d16y8 turbo questions

i have a d16y8 and im buying a turbo i want to run it on stock internals untill spring when i build the bottom end.......whats a 100% safe psi to run the stock engine on until then? i was thinkin 7psi but i just want some opinions

d16y8 take boost very well depending on the turbo and the tune i had a greddy t25 turbo kit on my y8 and i pushed 14 pounds stock motor during races and drove around 10lbs daily never any problems

you can run 8psi on at all times and even get a 2 stage turbo adjustr to set it up to 12psi but pray and hope that ur oil pumps in good condition

lmao are you serious? thats too high! run like 9:1 or 9:5:1 depending on how much boost u plan on pushing

the amount of boost you can safely run depends on the size of the turbo. you will be able to push more boost safely from a 14b than you will be able to from a gt30
