    i just got a 16y8 head for my 2000 civic can i use my y7 distibutor? also what ecu should i run and does any body have one? i need asap

        No u can't use that dizzy and as long a that ecu is obd2 and vtec then it'll work just fine you'll also need a new motor harness

              The p28 you have will work fine, you need a y8 distributor, and you don't NEED to change your engine harness. If you have a step down harness for that p28 then you can simply wire your vtec right into there you just need to look up a pin out diagram and your all set.

                ok so the step down harness is obd2 to obd1 ? cuz at some point i need to go through emissions alil mmore discription on the stepdown thing would help thanks

                    Obd2b to obd1 harness, and no you don't need to change the engine harness as i stated above.
