CT Emissions Laws ?'s

I'm in the military and am moving my car up here. I was wondering what Ct's laws on engine modifications are if there are any, and also, If my car is registered in my home state of FL, would I even need to go through emissions testing here in CT?

when registering in ct you need to go through state inspection and pass emissions

if it's registered in florida, you need to follow florida rules (which include no emissions). lots of people i know have cars registered in florida because they had the opportunity to due to its leniency with emissions.

they can give you a ticket for a improper muffler even if the car is in a parkinglot with no one in it... happened to me.

defff cant have any flashy mufflers or canisters. itll cost you $300 and some change for a improper muffler ticket. i used to get them in high school all the time. btw your sig is pretty funny.

so a straight 3" exit coming out of the front bumper in front of the tire will be shunned upon?I mean the turbo kinda acts as a muffler.lol and thanks for not flaming on the car choice, and i saw it a long time ago as a bumper sticker and i've used it since as a sig.

law on the exhaust is it has to be under a DB leavel it dont matter waht it looks like just has to be quite. as far as bump exit exhaust law in ct states the exhaust has to exit the car behind the rear tire. but it really all depends on waht part of ct you are moveing to i live in the waterbury southington area and i rocked a strght 3'' pipe off my turbo to a side exit for a long time and it had a muffler under it and i never got baged for it. post some pics i never sen a boosted tercel befor

that DB decibel law they made is BS.. cops pull you over if you got flashy mufflers or canisters like i mentioned.. trust me! no cop is gonna actual measure your mufflers decibel lol. unless if your white you get away with anything haha jk.
