So i quit my job at monro yesterday because they ************ed me around with my pay and their faulty equipment lead to a hummer falling on me so yea... Is anyone hiring. I have 6 years of autmotive mechanic experience and 4 years of schooling in auto collision and repair. Im nocti certified for the Auto collision field.

Hummr H2 .. I didnt get hurt luckily but my female manager who is new to automotive management ( means she dont know sh1t) got mad cuz i didnt even attempt to put it back up and backed it out (mind you it came in for an oil change i got the oil change done and she wanted me to take the tires off .. dont know why.. but when i went to do that the scissor lift on our drive on lift came down.. luckily i didnt get hurt) she sent me home saying i wasnt doing my job... But everyone in the store came to my defense and i just decided i didnt want to work there anymore.. I have been there almost 3 years and we get some new person in there 2 months and they think they run the show... Not happening ... VENTTT :mad:mad:

Yea sounds like some shady business. Any paperwork or filing happen with the incident? Have you tried to claim unemployment in the meantime?

i think she did run the show :rolleyes: and you sure you had the lift locked into place? could also have been your fault should have reported it if you were sure you did everything by the books

No she didnt run the show. She sat in the garage and smoked all day. Me and the asst. did all the work. . next.. And i can apply for unemployment because the company cut my wages unlawfully so i have had a case with the labor board for months and they told me as soon as i leave if the company doesnt fix the discrepency then i can collect unemployment. and yes i had the lift locked in place. It failed...

First of all, yes you can file for unemployment. You quit due to job hazzards that where not corrected at the time.

Second, contact these people:

They will come out and bang that shop, plus since you called them you are entitled to full pay from unemployment for at least 6 months.
