Everyone should of talked about getting a track in ct, can't believe no one bothered to mention it. EVERYONE shoulda been all over that, instead they're just gonna get more money for more law enforcement instead of money to get a track built in CT to give the street racer's a place to go.

Track would never open in CT cause people would always complain about the noise.
LimeRock doesn't race on sunday's cause people complained about the noise.
Even @ E-town locals are complaining about the noise.
You live near a racetrack.... It's like complaining about the noise from airplanes living at the end of a runway

the bad news is that the tracks were there before the homes.
and its all rich yuppie ************s moving in and complaining.

its happening all across the country, do a google search for altamont raceway in norcal. it was a popular track for drifting and autocross races, and its main attraction was lower level nascar sponsored racing.

some dumb ************s bought adjacent property, built a house, and complained about the noise. they actually succeeded in getting drifting and autocross racing banned from the track.

the owners of the track, which have been there for years, are no longer allowed to host events of thier choice, because of people that built a house withing the last 3 years.

the same thing is happening at limerock, no more drifting, no more sundays, and a lot of the track days and even the gocart track is getting more and more restricted.

just a few years ago donald trump put in a proposal for a huge motorsports complex in newburgh ny, at the stewart airport/airforce base location.

it was set to be a huge oval track, with a drag strip, and road course runing through the infield. there was also set to be a motocross track and other setup on the site.

the local people voted it down on account of noise and traffic.

do you realize how much money that would bring to the area? jobs created? its ************ing crazy. these people are all stupid, if you have ever been to newburgh, in general its a ************hole it would have made a major turnaround. all the other businesses that would spring up in relation.

the reality is, even with money, people of america are for the most part against car enthusiasts. the danbury mall even used to be a racetrack. dover new york used to be a drag strip, people have tried to reopen it, as the track is mostly still intact. the townsfolk voted it down.

With all the tragic street racing deaths that are on the news more and more lately, I think we'd have a better argument against the noise problem. It just sucks no one will even mention it, I've seen other state's do it, I remember one on the news where even the police joined in to promote it, they would let kids race against police cruisers, and they saw a dramatic drop in street racing.

That shoulda been the first thing outta anyone's mouth that got interviews, when they ask why kids take it to the streets, right away someone shoulda said "they won't give us a track what do you expect...", getting sick of hearing the whole adrenaline rush crap, that doesn't help us any and will only promote more law enforcement profiling us and ticketing us for anything they can think of. They should push the idea of giving us a place to go, it'd be more realistic since abviously more law enforcement isn't working, they're not gonna get rid of this hobby...

The only peoeple wit enough power to put a track in CT is Foxwoods, if they could some how tie it to gambling and making some side money on thier off nights letting imports race they could get the backing Noise regulations or not

whats funny is half the people that talk about how bad and stupid racing on the street is are the same people that go to spots when its warm out and theres a big gathering of people to race or whatever
