Well im looking into joining the National Guard i got my recruiter already
I took the asvab test twice and failed im so pissed .i need help with math thats my worst subject .im looking for a tutor or some one who could help me out im serious please no
Bullshit on my thread really need the help taking the test again in a month and want to be ready

Are they still running the long division questions and decimal questions? I remember taking a battery test that ran Math, English, Science, Mechanical, Reading and Shapes.

I agree. You honestly don't understand why they test all that when you are sent to a job specification that doesn't require all of those skills. Especially when they teach you the skills you need for the job. I would be willing to help but I failed that test before deciding to become an engineer. I can grab calculus but not decimal numbered long division. The math is based on the old school days when students learned everything by hand and weren't allowed to use calculators. I'm sorry that I can't help. I wish you the best of luck finding a good tutor.

They average all the tests together so if you can do well on the other exams then you should be set.

The asvab test is a pain in the ass bro..just signed my friend up and he luckily got thru it the first time, the math section screws everyone over because of all the little formulas they expect you to remember from the 10th grade, lol. I think there's a few study guides posted online that will distinguish exactly what areas to focus on so u don't waste your time studying irrelevant material..if I come across it, ill post them. keep tryin don't give up, i took it and passed flying colors in 2009. since then i did one to tour iraq. being part of the military is a big step and can change your whole life. example. i enlisted with my associates degree in 2009, now 2012 i graduated with my bach. in CRJ and now i am in grad school. in 2013 ill be having my masters. all im saying is within the few years my life changed, food for thought keep trying dont stress it.
