  • This doesnt make sense to anyone on here...

    so im selling the a4 1.8t wagon to a guy in canada. the wagons (avants) are a european thing, and are greatly saught after by european enthusiasts. canada has 0 a4 avants due to rear bumper regulations. long story short, they just changed the laws and can now import them. this guy really wants one. so im selling it for 4,500.

    now, this leaves me with a dilemma. what the ************ am i going to daily drive? after looking at a couple goodies. a 00 a6 2.7 6 speed (s4 but heavier), a couple older audi 90s, etc etc. im a huge old audi fan. ive owned numerous old 5 cylinder turbos. so the idea hit me. why not get the holy grail of audis?

    1) its cheap if you find someone who doesnt know what he owns.
    2) its a total sleeper.
    3) very reliable

    so i found what i searched for at a price of 'this guy doesnt know what he has'. unfortunately its in TN, so i will be making a road trip once my a4 sells sometime this week/next week.



    not too pleasing on the eyes, but it comes with 220hp stock. VERY hard to find. plus i love this chassis (owned 2).

          Dog, it's like I say, if you can get it, and you want it, get it, YOU have to love it, not everyone else............If I would listen to everyone else, I would have a hatch and gotten rid of the 4 door by now.

            83-88 are 5000's, turbo and not. fwd and awd

            89-91 are the same thing but they renamed them to the 200.

            89-91 that are not turbo are called 100

              o ok my boy has a 5000s awd and hes building a turbo motor he got i remeber racin it stockish w/ my lil 2.2 cavalier dog him from dig/roll till my shit turned off at 108 then he'd come truckin by me at like 120 lol

                yea im all about ugly old audis. thats really where my heart is. i love my 00 s4, its fast as shit and its well respected. but id rather an old 5 cylinder turbo audi for a daily. sleeper status FTW.

                  nice i use to have a 89 200 10vt avant (wagon). mc2 motor. great engine. i spanked my buddies fully bolted gsr day in and day out in that car. all my 200 had was a hacked up exhaust i made, boost controller, 20vt k24, and 20vt stock fmic.

                  i also had a red sedan 200 10vt pretty built with a k24, on megasquirt. car ************ing boogied.

                  if your friend needs any help/advise on a 10v turbo motor, im pretty knowledgeable with them. i love them because you can find them for 300 bucks complete, and build them for next to nothing. since there isnt a large demand. he needs to dump that shitty CIS injection and go with megasquirt or something. thats when you really stop limiting yourself and can really start to go faster. thats really the only major bottleneck from the factory.

                  lucky this new one im getting is a 91, so its got a bosch motronic ecu :). similar to my s4 ecu.
