Trust me kyle i always thought shit out before i did something here. You will never be able to please everyone.

But yeah im down for what ever to bring everyone together and have a good time.

We are a small community. We all know each other now cause of this website. We should be able to create some huge events just for us CT people.

Thats what we need, but that cant be done alone
My honest opinion is fuck the other side, they putting money in your pocket or doing anything positive for the site, nope. I focus my energy on people that are with the movement.

It's not about pleasing everyone, it's like I said you gotta do what's right for the site. And at times that means going against your own personal feelings. The site can and will grow, we already proved that.

Your deff right. Everyone made this site big. It was all done word of mouth. NO matter if someone invited 1 person or 100, they helped create this site.
When i think of that i think of how proud we should all be about what we did because its really something hard to do. With thag being said everyone should chip in with some ideas and effort to bring it back.

It's not the site it's the game. The people who are die hard Honda people will lurk for life but for people who wanted a racecar and a Honda was all they could/can afford they will be out as soon as they can buy an evo sti rx7 supra or whatever it is they want. To many theives to put money into a car. You end up having to spend about what a b-series swap cost to put security on your car. Not worth it anymore to many kids in the game trying to get gold for a gsr swap without vins.
        Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

No matter which "game" you talk about, the people you are listing are always present. There are going to be die hard enthusiasts, temporary dick riders, theives, etc. Obviously some manufacturer following have more than others, still doesn't mean that the Honda enthusiasts of all types should stop doing what they enjoy because there are theives present, or because some kid wants $2800 for his non legit B16 swap. It's your job as an educated person not to deal with those types of people. There still are plenty of honest and admirable people in this "Honda game", just sounds like you don't associate with many.

And considering it a necessity to put security on your car should not detour you from owning a vehicle you want too. It's no different than every car manufacturer today. Every single car produced today had taken security measures by having programmed keys. Should we not own older Honda vehicles because they are not factory equipped with the same present day security measures? If you feel required, you install the same type of security to your older Honda that every car leaves the factory with today. Why is that frowned upon is my point? Your just updating your older vehicle to present day standards.

I not staying from my standpoint but from the potential standpoint of others. My EM1 has full coverage so I will never put money into security if they want it that bad they can have it lol I know there are a ton of legit Honda guys, I also do not let people asking crazy prices drive me away from the scene. It's just rough sticking around especially when I would like a k series crx but I could boost a s2000 for around the same price or buy an evo for what it cost to build a nice turbo hatch only to be stolen or trashed by some asshole kid. Put $10,000 into a $2,000 car and you now have a $3,000 car it's just shitty and it has changed for the worse in the past 5 years or so

I feel your statements are very opinionated and stereotypical. I know many many people that have very nice cars, plenty of which are Honda products that still have their vehicles after years and even decades. My personal opinion is people who like and want to keep their cars safe do just that. People that are careless or ignorant get their cars stolen.

And your statement stating that you stick $10k into a 2k value car only increases the value to 3k is a true statement in the general auto sales platform. Nobody educated sticks that kind of money into an older car in expectation to produce a profit. The people that do it(myself included) do it because that's what we enjoy to do. And when people do finally chose to sell the vehicle off, the educated ones do the smart choice and part the car out before selling off the shell or recreated stock vehicle.

I do agree with you that the negative side of this hobby has gotten worse. But I don't let that blind me into not doing what I enjoy nor do other true enthusiasts.

Listen you guys have good points. They ALL actually have a play into whats going on with the honda game and or this website.
To add on to it like i said in another post, it also comes down to everyone using Facebook now. They all left the site cause Facebook has the groups etc.

If everyone kept Facebook for personal use, and used CTvtec for honda related use. This site would be big like day 1 IF NOT BIGGER!

That is really where the bigger issue is.

What we can do to TRY to bring things together, is hold some meets, maybe track event and hopefully everyone that attends will see the same vision for us to stick together.

How sweet would it be if we would be able to have CTvtec roll to honda day and we have our own section, everyone helping each other out. Thats what we have to work on.
Thats what brings the community together..

Not completely valid. Example, I never had nor plan on opening a fag book account. It's a site where people fish for attention, whine to the public or airing there own personal laundry or that of others. Never liked it, never will.

Meets and Track events will boost the community for sure. But the key to these events is preparation. You need to properly prepare for good outcomes. We at the 13203 have proved that. We have sellout events and large outcomes at our annual track rentals, but the key is preparation.

For me personally, i used to love ctvtec and met alot of good friends and connections because of this site. However i feel the car scene has changed like it does every few years. New fads, new fan boys and dick riders etc. So for me i stopped doing most car shows and events and kept to my self because i dont like 75 % of the new people i see out there. However the 07-10 years were great for this site and honda game

You said it right, and that all comes down to having a team of people do it.
I did it basically on my own, had few people help me out here and there. I had about 42 tickets sell at the track.. Thats not a good outcome when i know we should be able to get at least 100

but people are moving to Facebook. Its the same issue most of the forums have seen. We are just a little different from the other forums cause we are CT based site for CT people.

I would say mostly 95% of the people have made new connections because of this site. It has helped the CT Honda community get together and grow. It helped local businesses and private shops become who they are today with the fame they have. They all know it deep down, but for some reason don't want to show that love back to the site lol but its ok :)

Another thing is also the respect. All the newbs on here now day are so quick to get bitchy and swear they know it all. You cant say something without them going off. Before I remember people bust each others balls and no one cared. Now its just not worth mentioning anything. I used to cone here all the time now i stop in every now and then. Also all the ones from 07-10 are tired of having to watch their cars from theives so they opted out of Hondas and went to more expensive less wanted cars. I know I did.
