virtually problem free since '91.

i used to have problems with the AWD all the time, but the FWD is much more reliable. stock diff's suck, but otherwise they're strong.

they were snapping where the bolts held the housings to the block? breaking off ears where the bolt holes were?

sounds like the trans was seperating from the block. im guessing you were either using vr4 transmissions, or didn't use the 12mm bolt that went through the block and threaded into the trans. some loctite and a little love and i never had a problem again.
