last month on 5/7 i was pulled over for no front plate on my car, turned out my license was suspended and i was arrested and my car towed. the monroe police department called buds to have them come tow the car. well, when i went to pick up the car, i noticed that my debit card was missing. i called buds and mentioned it to the woman at the front desk so she could try to find out what happened.
well, i forgot to cancel the card like an ********************* and my bank account is negative 430 dollars. i have called the monroe and bridgeport police departments and my bank to report the theft. this guy used the card 5 times at dunkin donuts in bpt, once at marshalls and once in bath and body works in trumbull.
so to summarize, do not ever call buds for a tow, and dont ever leave anything valuable in the car. i was in handcuffs and wish the police had taken my card out of the car before they handed it over. thankfully, the police had enough sense to take my ipod touch out of the car, as im sure that would have disappeared as well.
i now have the name and home address of the driver of the truck, which will be turned over to the police along with my written complaint against both buds towing, and the driver. that is by far the most expensive 10 mile tow i have ever gotten, over 200 for the tow, and 470 missing from my bank account.
learn from my mistake...even if youre arrested, INSIST that the police remove anything valuable from inside your vehicle before you lose it.
