  • itbs or skunk2 manifold???

    Ok ctv need your help... i should be getting my h23a bluetop vtec longblock at the end of this month. I plan on doing cams, springs, and titanium retainers, with adjustable cam gears. Now what will make more power the skunk2 manifold tuned or itbs tuned?? Lmk all the help is appreciated

    unless you're going high compression dont waste your money on ITBs. If you do decide to get ITBs get twm or its a waste of money. OBX and other half ass brands never run right. ITBs are really high maintnance and have to be tuned for the weather. If i was you id get a sk2 mani have it ported, get some beefy injectors and take the money you were going to throw at ITBs and raise your compression (pistons,rods,ect) so when you do put down good power you know the motor is built to handle it.
    Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

                    kbrown explained it on point.. bore it to 70mm with a matching throttle body some 440 or 550cc injectors and a walbro pump wit a tune.. make sure ur cams match ur head set up .. the wrong set up will hurt ur hp gain

                      The answer for your ? Its if u want to get power and gain throttel response get itbs but the down side its you waist more gas if you,get the cheap itbs the car will run like shit it never run right but u,get power ,,,,,,so get a im skunk 2 or the euro ok one will do the job a big throttel body and thats sit

                              dont waist ur time with itb's unless ur doing high comp.. its a waist of time and money.. but dont get me wrong that shit would be dope.!!! id rather go with sk2 mani and do your set up with that or just port the stock manifold.. but thats just my 2 \cents
