**** Official Hubbard Park - Car Show / Cookout - June 14, 2009 ****
The event IS going to be held this weekend on the 14th! See everyone there!
Hey everyone,
I finally chose a date for the Hubbard Park BBQ event!
I chose to have this event on this date after I ran polls for four days on ctvtec.com and found the majority of people would be able to attend Sunday at 12pm. This date also happens to fall on a day called Flag day. From what I come to understand it's the day we officially chose the nations flag.

Things that will be supplied by me free of charge:
I will be putting out a donation bin also. Even your lint and pocket change would help. Again don't feel pressured to donate anything or not show up because you aren't bringing any money or food. It really does not matter to me. I'm just trying to get everyone together for a good time!!
If you would like to help out in anyway whether it be food, or sporting supplies just shoot me a PM so I have an idea what will be there so i can organize the field better.
The location I chose for Hubbard Park is directly adjacent to the Playground. This seems to be the best place to have our cars close by, and an open field for us to hang out and actually do something beside stand around. I'm going to be there early and rope off the parking lot(Hope I don't get yelled at for that). There is a huge open field with two big BBQ pits and lots of garbage bins. Please do NOT hesitate to bring children, this is an all age event and we will be right next to the playground!
If you come in the main entrance of the park, its very hard to get lost. If you pull in and just drive straight, you will run into the meeting place. BUT, to lack any sort of confusion I went there today and took a picture for the more visually dependent people.
Directions and Parking:
The Park can be accessed via I-91
South to I-691 West to the exit for
Southington/Route 322. At the end
of the exit, make a left onto West
Main Street. Hubbard Park is on the
left, approximately 1 mile from the
highway exit. As an alternative, you
may take I-84 West to I-691 East to
the West Main Street exit. At the end
of the exit, make a right onto West
Main Street and continue as above.
For the GPS equipped 994 W Main St, Meriden, CT 06451
