Yea until i call Ken Dominguez. Kia's regional warranty manager. Got him on "Speed Dial" Go ahead break ur car. They got the same datalogging system type as the SI's. You break it. The dealership goes in and scans for the throttle position (drive by wire.. itll fuck ya up) at the moment of carnage and if they see that you were beating on it.. theyre going to deny your claim. I watched it happen on 3 fortes already. One of which was a car that someone at the dealership was beating the shit out of.

2008-2010 civic SI's have like a black box. We had 2 honda master techs come to kia from another honda dealer and they were both talking about similar situations with people beating the shit out of the cars. It is some shit with the tps that sends back like a datastream (say someone drops a valve or they blow a tranny) the dealership can go into the GDS and pull up that data stream. Ive seen them do it with at least 3 of the Kia Fortes as well.

The car has to be connected to the GDS in order to get the reading but all the GDS is, is a laptop you plug into the OBD scan port.

i was a techinician at honda before i joined the military. there is no black box and i think you mean "HDS" honda diagnostic system never heard of a GDS. theres no datalogging past connecting the HDS to the car, once its disconnected thats it.

For the automatic ones yes.. But you have the stickshift one. Youre fucked either way. clutches on those things are expensive as hell and 99% of the time theyre not warranty,...

GDS is kia's HDS. And what i was saying was when the car comes in for an issue like a blown motor or etc. They were telling me that the "HDDS" could datalog. I know Kia's deffinitaly have the datalogging capability.

You dont understand. Those clutches have the throwout bearing built into the pressure plate. AS WELLS as you HAVE to replace the flywheel when replacing those clutches. Its a special type of flywheel.
