Just make fake receipts if you dont have one.. as long as the vin comes back clean and not stolen i dont think your fake receipt is going to be thoroughly looked at.

I think they will only take the car and arrest u if it comes out stolen and u have no paperwork. I've gotten pulled over and I had no papers but it was not stolen and they didn't do anything. It would make no sence to take every car that has an engine swap. That's just alot of paperwork that I think they would not want to do. Not only hondas have engine swaps

so i have a b16a short block im building with no papers whats they gonna do about jdm motors and trans with no vins? i just say dont get noticed and you have no problem most cops dont know crap about cars except dmv troopers

kind of have to agree, hard to say something stolen because you don't have a copy of the title a bill of sale should be fine a lot of motors don't have vins older block transmissions ect. I've drivin by police with no hood and the only response I get is compliments about the polished valve cover or they wanna know what happened to the hood I guess its on how you come off to them
