  • stripping rims. getting ready for paint

    I need some one to please let me know if its ok for me to strip my rims and what kind of stripped. They are oem integra se snowflake/starfish/sunflower. Original paint is on them and I have begun sandin one of them....and I feel like it.is gonna take forever if I try to sand...please some one help I need someone who has done.this.before give me a little guidance. Pce love and beats, ziggy

    go to lowe's buy paint stripper, the gold can, spray it on, leave it for about 15 - 20 min & the paint will slide rite off like budda!! lol

      ^^^^^ this or airplane paint stripper its like gell and it sits on the paint for a while. dont get it on your fingers though it makes your skin feel weird and ichy

          just did my wheels last month, air plane paint remover, in the spray can or the gell, try not to breath it in smells shitty and isnt good for you and def try to keep off your skin itll burn trust me i know haha, but if you use it right which u can do easily it can make a long ass job alot shorter, works real well

              x2 on the aircraft paint stripper.. works great, can get it at walmart. its pretty messy tho depending on how much paint ur strippin

                  if they are original finish just scuff em real good n spray em. no need to take em down to raw finish.

                        get airplane paint remover, spray your rims. take a wire brush but not a hard wire brush, and brush ur rims to loosen everything up. depending how bad your rim is you mite have to sand it after u take wire brush to it,i use brake cleaner to clean off all the paint/paint remover. then tape it off primer it and use duplicolor to paint it, they also sell duplicolor sealer which makes ur rims shine really good. bump gl
