honda/acura ball joint adaptors

Anybody have or use one of these? I was thinking of scooping it up because the ball joint removal kit i have doesnt have only gives me half of its use.
I took off the whole spindle and tried to use the kit but the adaptors where the ball joint comes out dont fit around the ball joint itself because its mad tight so i ended up just hammering it out. But if this kit is the right one then I could just keep the upper ball joint and tie rod connected to the spindle, undo the axle nut and turn it out. Then just pop this bitch on and take it off that way. Just wondering what everyone thought or if you have used one before.

Thats what I had to do. Did you have to clamp too or just this adaptor?
