Is it an obd1 p72 or an obd2?

As long as its OBD2 with no CEL you're good. But if you have an OBD1 p72 with a step down harness you're no good. Because while your car still has the OBD port, it wouldn't be able to read the OBD1 ecu to check for system readiness.
