my door is broken.. please help!

I got the panel off.... Now I can't get the piece to actually unlock from the door there's a plastic cover around the latch that is in the way there's no way to really get it off.... any more ideas what to do? Should I just bring it into Acura now the way it is and have them fix it and throw the rest back together?

Pull on the rods one is for luck one is to open it screw acura you already did the hard part

shits mad easy same shit happend to my girls 4 door theres a white clip on the inside of the exterior door handle that holds a short rod in place.The rod that goes from the inside handle to the outside handle gets poped out when the clip breaks.Unbolt all both rods and clips from the door,unscrew the 3 star head screws that hold the door latch(door jam).The whole piece will come out with all the rods attached to it,then you can access the 2 10mm bolts that hold the exterior door handle in place.Theres a short rod thats attached to the door latch that leads to the exterior door handle(about 3-4 inches long),thats the one that opens the door from the outside and when that breaks for some reason it makes your child safety lock engage so you cant open it from either side....good luck i hope that helps.
