  • Help! My 92 integra alternator dont charge?

    So this is tha problem when I did my timing and water pump after my car started acting up I took off tha negative from tha battery and my car turns off I put like 3 alternators I just wanna see who else had this problem cuz it also happen to my cuzin in his EK....but let me know people trying to get this fixed give me suggestions wutever and I checked tha fuses r good!


    IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT THE PRBLEM COULD REALLY BE LET ME KNOW I WILL PAY !

    3 new alternators? If you have a multimeter you can try testing for voltage drop. Battery positive to alt output should drop less than .4v, alt case to battery negative should be less than .2 volts. At least to figure out whether its the alternator itself or just a fucked up connection somewhere

      check the battery when the cars running and see if is taking a charge.

        Na its not taking no charge...and by anychance how much is that multimeter but ima check wit tha tester and I guess start from there is there any relay for that or anything?

          Make sure the nut on the alternater is tight an the plug is connected 100%

            Don't think so, should look it up to be sure tho. There's cheap ones and nice ones like anything else ya get what you pay for

              yo hook up some good ground like hook up a ground str8 on tha bracket.. i had that problem, it just wasnt charging tha battery i wuld drive around for a hour come home n it would be dead.. i measured that new alternator n it was at 12 volts while tha car was on, wen it should b 14... i hooked up a better ground n dat fixed it.. i prolly didnt even need a new alternator lol

                Ok ima try that fo sure were did u put ur grounds 2 ? And that's basacally tha same problem I'm having right now

                    Nope not tha battery cuz I went and got 3 and one of them wus optima so whenever I want I can get it brand new wit warranty

                        Now my battery fuse keeps poppin....... I put a ground cable from tha ground alternator to tha body

                            ur prolly grounding out the power wire lol. Make sure you hav all the plugs in/ on. And make sure you have the thick white wire from the alternator hooked up on the fuse box.
