need to know about internally gated turbos

are they any better or worse? im bout to go buy a rebuilt garrett t3 60 trim internal gated turbo for $80 bucks worth it ?

an internally gated turbo will work fine but you cant adjust the spring rate like an external. you can take the internal gate off and run an external, just make sure to somehow keep the flapper on the hot side closed
