basically when you have stock rods with pistons,,the pistons are compressed,,when u buy after market rods like eagle, etc,,they are full floating..meaning that the pistoms need to have clips on the sides in order to hold the wrist pin in place..u can take a piston to a machine shop and have it made to full floating..Originally posted by knuckk@jdmdikk only dude i would take advice from.

***u should get a bigger piston (oversized),,so if your stock bore is 81mm then get 81.5mm and bore out the block so that the piston doesnt have any play and fits nice and tight..if you go with 81mm then when your warming up the car ,,you will hear a knocking noise..Originally posted by knuckk@jdmdikk only dude i would take advice from.
