whats everyone's opinions on ebay turbo kits? not looking to have a crazy fast car just a little more power in my single cam. its my daily driver so i would only be pushing like 7 psi or so. i would obv get it tuned and get a better fuel pump. looking to spend around 1500 on everything including tune do you think thats reasonable with an ebay kit? heard alot of mixed reviews on ebay kits

Those turbo kits from eBay you need to know which parts to avoid and which parts you can use.
The turbos are fine like any other turbo just they are cheap because you are not paying for a brand name. Also you need to use an oil restrictor so oil seals don't blow.
Oil feed lines need to be careful because some of them break but they usually break because the installations are not made "eBay kits" friendly.
$1,500 for a turbo kit is too low. You need to go with a 3" exhaust and only on that is almost $500 if not more. I'm saying because the downpipe it self is around $100.
You need boost gauge, oil pressure gauge.
If you want to build something professional it's going to cost you over $1,500 in parts even if the parts are eBay and brand imitations.
But if you want to build the ugly crap turbo kits some people sell here then $1,500 is enough.
Nothing wrong with eBay turbo kits. Haters of knockoff turbo parts and eBay turbos it's just people who don't know how to work with them.Last edited by Sk8eR_PR; 02-22-2014, 08:27 AM.

Oh I forgot to say for tuning you will be spending around $300 to $500 and that's tuning alone. If you don't own a chipped ECU add another $100+.
Turbo builds are not cheap man. You can try to build a turbo car from zero while trying to get the cheapest parts and you still will see yourself spending over $1,500.
And there's much more to say but I guess you got the point.
