im going ls vtec im planning on keeping the stock ls crank and connecting rods but im gonna replace the ARP rod bolts and put b16 p30 pistons i dont plan on going to 8,000 rpms maybe like 7,500 its a jdm b16 head what rpm is safe to rev to and if anybody has any info on how to make a reliable lsvtec let me know i could use some pointers havent done this before. i have looked at golden eagle vtec kits and prolly gonna go with them, should, also what ecu should i use along with the swap its gonna be in a 94 civic hatch its a cx, what wiring will need to be done.

you are headed in the right direction. once you do the rod bolts, I don't see any reason that you should not be able to rev the engine reliably to 8200. as far as ls vtec kits go I can help you save some money over the golden eagle kit. also computer wise there isn't a better option than a well tuned computer specific to your engine(860) and beyond

for the computer, shouldnt i get a ecu that is the same as the b16 head or get like a gsr ecu because if im right i need hondata s300 to tune and set vtec rpm, i wanna set my vtec at like 5.5 and would it be good to buy a girdle for the bottom end or is that a waste of money.2013 Dodge Dart Turbo.......

I'm running stock LS cranks in 1300 HP motors, you'll be fine lol
If you're putting a girdle in and getting it line bored, it would be smart to just put some eagle rods in with a forged piston so you can rev the piss out of it once you get a nice head on there.
But even still, I wouldn't bother with the girdle. And also, since you're changing so much stuff out why not find a GSR block? I've never understood why NA guys do an LS-V, sure you make a few more ft-lbs but always seems more trouble than it's worth lol9.85 @ 145 Single Cam

you'll be straight to go high rpm's if you have arp rod bolts. As for ecu's. Hit up Dave or Hermin and get a chipped ecu wit a basemap for your setup. And then have Dave tune it. Dave or Hermin or who ever basemaps/tunes it can put your vtec/rev where ever you want. 5,500 is kinda high for vtec. If your trying to tune it to that it'd be cheaper to just get a jdm p30 ecu. As for pistons and rods hit me up PM i have high comp pistons for a LS already on LS rods.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1
