          ight i put it like this for the money i would do a b over a k just because its cheaper. like for the price of a k swap with everything u need to drop it in and make it run right including like k pro u gonna spend some money. but i would take that money get a ls sleeved with pistons and rods get a b16 head or gsr get it cleaned up with upgraded valvetrain . so you have a piece of mind. put together a nice turbo kit tune it on chrome and youll walk on a k all day and save alot more money. but dont get me wrong i aint knocking a k , im acutally thinking about doing one later on and see what the big fuss is about and that extra gear.

          but depends on how much money u got to play with if u got like 2-4k make a ls vtec turbo and be happy. more than 5k k is the way to go

            you can do a k swap for under 5k EZ thats a TYPE S too

            if you just want 5 speed and a k24 it would be alllot cheaper

            like back in the days when everyone thought a gsr swap costs over 5k lol but inreality it can be done for less than 2k

            where the B ends is where the K starts

                      Yo... B serious $ for $ B's make more power for the money on boost... ALL motor is a different story but boost wise again different. K's basicly got everything you would want to run with on a street b series so why reinvent the wheel... but if you going boost for numbers then $ for $ b will get you there because you are starting off at the wrong side of the spectrum.... My whip was put together with pistons, rods turbo kit injectors valve springs retainiers and all for ALL legit parts some used but it gets the job done.... O & my budget.. 2300 with my first tune.... WHP over 360 and over 298 TQ.... let me Mastercard this for y'all

                      Suspesnsion: $700
                      Motor Build w/ turbo: $2300
                      Slicks : $350

                      Beating a K down the track for half the money:.......... PRICELESS

                      I'm just playing around fellas so don't catch feelings but if budget is a concern then k is not for you.. they are faster build for build.... the problem is can you afford to build em'

                              Chill judge judy you are not understanding the reason for this thread why are you mad cuz you spent an X amount of dollars and you only making 190 to the wheels I didn't start this to say B is better than K but to simply get opinions on how you the public feel about this matter I wrote from the jump that K series are better but all im saying is it worth the money?

                                depends how far back in the day your talking about.. ive been doing this stuff for a very long time, way back yes it would def cost you well over 5k for a b16 swap.. to be done correctly.. as things changed and it became more popular the price came down. i can remember when places were getting 2500 just for a b16 with a tranny with out a lsd.
                                now the swap has been done so much all the effort is gone and you have a wide choice of places to go to get what you need.. not just place racing and there hokey adapt a mounts.
                                as for the k series yes it is now starting where a b left off, but price for price you can still have a b series out perform it. does not mean its not a good swap or it doesnt have any potential, it will just cost more to do it.
                                me personally i still prefer a b over a k everyday of the week. for me its just too easy to make more than enough power and still not cost a fortune, yes to do anything properly.. its going to cost, but there are a lot more budget minded things available for a b than a k.
