I think it really depends on what you are using the motor for. Mild build, full race build ect ect. If you are planning on revving the piss out of the motor every time you get in the car I wouldn't trust an ls block to hold up very well seeing as how their stock rev limit is @ 6850 (correct that if i'm wrong). Where as gsr's, b16s can rev all day to 9k.

all you have to do is "CHECK FOR OIL" im sure most people that blow them up, never do. I had my LS/vtec swap in my old ej8 for 8 months without a problem.
