          I think it really depends on what you are using the motor for. Mild build, full race build ect ect. If you are planning on revving the piss out of the motor every time you get in the car I wouldn't trust an ls block to hold up very well seeing as how their stock rev limit is @ 6850 (correct that if i'm wrong). Where as gsr's, b16s can rev all day to 9k.

                  ls/vtec as a daily if not properly built i wouldnt trust it if you do it have a garage full of blocks youll need em lol

                    all you have to do is "CHECK FOR OIL" im sure most people that blow them up, never do. I had my LS/vtec swap in my old ej8 for 8 months without a problem. The most problems I had was prolly using a shitty ECU or having timing belt issues, other than that, it ran good. Cant complain.

                        im gonna do a nice ls/vtec write up for this site, i am building one for my 4 door.

                        81mm
                        b16 pistons
                        LS rods/arp bolts
                        b16 head
                        itr internals
                        ys1 trans with itr internals.
                        itr oil pump.

                        better than a gsr and typeR for under a 2k

                          I have a ls block that i used, from a junkyard, and i have no issues what so ever with the B16 head.

                          Never burned one drop of oil.

                              Can't complain. Makes just as much power as a GSR and more TQ than a B16 for less money. I ran my B20-VTEC strong w/ OEM internals for a year and a half w/ no problems.
                              Greatness is only 1,320 ft. away!!!
