Engine idles hard when stopped, anyone kno wut it could be?

probably bad grounds by the engine, thats how my car was , use to idle low , seem like it was gonna shut off then it go up on rpm to like 700 , and only does it on idle . so check your grounds under the hood & if not could be a sensor going bad .

Ok so it started idling wen my engine started to overheat, I bought a new thermostat and gasket so wen I change that would I have to change the sensor too
